The Judges Comments
There is cherry stone fruit on the nose of the beans that moves straight onto the nose of the espresso and the palate with tasty juiciness. The mouthfeel is pure happiness as an espresso or with milk too. The fresh and bold fruitiness has wonderful longevity and the chocolatey goodness with bright bitterness dances on your palate. A great coffee.
The description indicates this to be a supremely balanced coffee and for once, we all agreed with the writer. A lovely fruitiness hinting of blackberries and blueberries is matched with a well-pitched sweetness that left us all with just the most perfect long finish. Milk simply made this even better - a creamy sweetness working perfectly with the the natural fruitiness.
These are medium roast beans of clean appearance. The initial flavour is rich and syrupy with deep blackberry fruit flavour enhanced by chocolate notes and a rich creaminess. The tasting experience ends on a clean finish.
This promised much with a great-looking, even, medium roast with no visual defects - and didn't disappoint on tasting. Supremely balanced, with the chocolatey, syrupy, kiwi, and blackberry notes all singing together in harmony.
Feels very luxurious and stands up beautifully to milk, with chocolate and blackberry coming through even more. It would make a stunning flat white. Top-notch stuff!
